Frodo:
I can't do this Sam.
Sam:
I know. It's all wrong. By
rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are.
It's like in the great stories,
Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger,
they were. And sometimes you
didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could
the world go back to the way
it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing
thing,
this shadow. Even darkness
must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out
the clearer.
Those were the stories that
stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand
why.
But I think, Mr. Frodo, I
do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of
turning back,
only they didn't. They kept
going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo:
What are we holding on to
Sam?
Sam:
That there's some good in
this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.
Lord of the Rings
The Two Towers
Everybody loves a hero. People
line up for them, cheer them, scream
their names. And years later,
they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours
just to get a glimpse of the
one who taught them how to hold on a second longer.
I believe there's a hero in
all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength,
makes us noble, and finally
allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes
we have to be steady, and
give up the thing we want the most.
Even our dreams…

"I only hope that we don't
lose sight of one thing,
that it was all started by
a mouse."
Walt Disney
"Somehow I can't believe there
are any heights that can't be scaled by a man
who knows the secret of making
dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me,
can be summarized in four
C's. They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage, and Constancy
and the greatest of these
is Confidence. When you believe a thing, believe it all the way,
implicitly and unquestionably."
Walt Disney
Rose:
I love you Jack.
Jack:
Don't you do that, don't say
your good-byes.
Rose:
I'm so cold.
Jack:
I don't know about you, but
I intend on writing a strongly worded letter to the White
Star Line about all of this.
You're gonna go on, and make lots of babies, and watch them grow.
You're gonna die an old lady,
warm in her bed. Not here, not this night. Not like this.
Do you understand me? Winning
that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me...
it brought me to you. And
I'm thankful for that, Rose. I'm thankful. You must do me this honor, Rose.
Promise me you'll survive.
That you won't give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless.
Promise me now, Rose, and
never let go of that promise.
Rose:
I promise.
Jack:
Never let go.
Rose:
I'll never let go. I'll never
let go, Jack.
