~ Teddy Bear's Picnic
~
If you go down in the
woods today
You'd better not go
alone
It's lovely down in
the woods today
But safer to stay
at home
For ev'ry Bear that
ever was
Will gather there
for certain because
Today's the day the
Teddy Bears
have their Picnic

"I know he looks vicious,
but he's really kind and gentle.
He's my friend."

Excerpt from The Velveteen
Rabbit
"What is REAL?" asked
the Rabbit one day, when the were lying side by side near the nursery fender,
before Nana came to
tidy the room. "Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out
handle?"
"Real isn't how you
are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you.
When a child loves
you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you,
then you become Real."
"Does it hurt?" asked
the Rabbit.
"Sometimes," said
the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful.
"When you are Real
you don't mind being hurt."
"Does it happen all
at once, like being wound up," he asked "or bit by bit?"
"It doesn't happen
all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. That's
why it doesn't often happen to people who break easily,or have sharp edges,
or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real,
most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get
loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all,
because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't
understand."

"Al, You're in love.
You're not going to find another girl like
this in a million
years. Believe me, I've looked."
~Genie,

Excerpt from "Love
you Forever"
A mother held her new
baby and
very slowly rocked
him back and forth,
back and forth, back
and forth.
And while she held
him, she sang:
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for
always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.
~Robert
Munsch~

"Bless the seven little
men who have been so kind to me,
and...and may my dreams
come true.
Oh yes, and please
make Grumpy like me."
~Snow
White, Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs~

Part of Your World,
Reprise (final)
~Ariel~
What would I give to
live where you are?
What would I pay to
stay here beside you?
What would I do to
see you smiling at me?
Where would we walk?
Where would we run?
If we could stay all
day in the sun?
Just you and me, and
I could be part of your world
I don't know when,
I don't know how
But I know something's
starting right now
Watch and you'll see,
someday
I'll be part of your
world

True, he was shorter
than some and greener than most,
but this, she knew,
was the man of her dreams,
her prince, her destiny.
